This highly scenic drive along a dirt road starts at the Visitor Center and heads southeast amongst the towering buttes, mittens, and mesas. Along the drive there are 11 numbered stops at the most scenic places. The drive takes at least 2 hours and is doable in a 2WD vehicle. Tourists are not allowed to hike away from the road towards the formations.
