Tree Farm Campground, VT
Tuesday, February 22, 2000 - 11:00am by Lolo
111 miles and 3 hours from our last stop - 2 night stay
Travelogue
Tree Farm Campground was a terrific find--an all year round campground smack in the middle of Vermont ski country. I don't think I ever even saw the campground during the day. We pretty much just used it as a base camp for Okemo, which was only about a ½ hour away.
We arrived at Tree Farm quite late in the day after a long 8 hours of driving from Acadia. Then first thing in the morning we were up and out trying to get a full day on the slopes of Okemo.
Description
Tree Farm Campground is located just east of Springfield, in the southeastern portion of Vermont, in striking distance to several ski areas. The property is located in mostly mature white pine forest. Roads are gravel throughout and the sites are quite large. This is one of the few campgrounds in the northeast that is open year round.
